Choquequirao Trek 5 Days
Hike to the Lost Sister of Machu Picchu

20+ Years of Experience

ISO 9001 Certified

Locally Based in the Sacred Valley

An off-the-beaten-path trek

Walk to the Cradle of Gold

Over five days, the Choquequirao Trek takes you down into the Apurímac Canyon and up to a vast Inca citadel where only a third has been uncovered. Like its sister Machu Picchu, it sits about 1,500 m above a river, and it was once an administrative and religious center. Along the way, you walk through Andean history, culture and nature on one of Peru’s most rewarding trekking routes, with far fewer visitors than Machu Picchu. Moreover, you can choose a shared or private service, and we tailor every trip to your needs and budget.

  • Incredible Apurímac Canyon scenery

  • Camp inside the Choquequirao complex

  • Led by a local expert team

  • Reach the “Cradle of Gold” on foot
