These Terms and Conditions explain the rules that apply to bookings, payments, cancellations, and tourism services provided by Santu Tour Operator in Peru.
Terms and Conditions: Booking, Payments, Cancellations and Service Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern all reservations, bookings, payments, cancellations, changes, and tourism services provided by Santu Tour Operador, trade name of Illa Yaku S.A.C.
By confirming a reservation with us, the client acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
1. Reservations
A reservation becomes confirmed once we receive the required deposit and passenger information.
All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
2. Payments
Standard payment conditions may include:
- Deposit required to confirm booking
- Remaining balance payable before travel date
- Full payment required for last-minute reservations
Bank fees, exchange rate differences, or card processing fees may apply depending on payment method.
3. Changes to Bookings
Availability and supplier policies determine date changes, passenger information updates, and service modifications.
Additional costs, penalties, or fare differences may apply.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation penalties may depend on the service booked, travel date, supplier rules, and whether the supplier has already issued permits or tickets.
Certain services such as Machu Picchu entrance tickets, Inca Trail permits, train tickets, promotional fares, or already used services may be non-refundable.
Where applicable, approved credits may be offered for future travel.
5. No Show
Failure to appear on time or inability to take the service for reasons attributable to the passenger may be considered a No Show and may result in a 100% charge.
6. Force Majeure
Santu Tour Operador is not responsible for delays, changes, interruptions, or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather conditions, strikes, road closures, natural disasters, social unrest, or government restrictions.
Where possible, rescheduling or travel credit options may be offered.
7. Travel Documents & Passenger Responsibility
Passengers are responsible for carrying valid passports, visas, travel insurance, medical coverage, and any documents required for travel.
Passengers are also responsible for arriving on time and following instructions provided for the service.
8. Health & Fitness
Passengers must inform us in advance of any relevant medical condition, allergy, pregnancy, mobility limitation, or physical restriction that may affect participation.
Adventure tours, trekking, and high-altitude programs require adequate physical condition.
9. Liability Limitation
Santu Tour Operador works with independent hotels, transport providers, guides, and other suppliers. We are not liable for acts, omissions, delays, losses, or damages caused by third-party providers or events outside our control.
10. Itinerary Changes
We reserve the right to modify routes, schedules, transportation, or services when necessary for operational, weather, safety, or force majeure reasons.
Any replacement service will be of similar category whenever reasonably possible.
11. Complaints
Any inconvenience should be reported during the trip so we may assist immediately.
Formal complaints may be submitted within 7 calendar days after the completion of the service.
12. Privacy
We may use personal data only for reservation management, service coordination, billing, and legal compliance, in accordance with applicable regulations..
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in Peru.
