Who we are

A local company, built by people who love this land

Santu is a family-run company built around local knowledge, long-term relationships and a deep connection to the places we call home. We create tailor-made journeys across Peru that combine adventure, culture and personal attention, because we believe the most meaningful way to experience Peru is through its people, places and stories.

Why Santu

Local knowledge makes the difference.

We know the trails because we walk them, the communities because we work beside them, and the mountains because they are part of our everyday life.

The people behind your journey

Two owners. One shared love for Peru.

Giuliana Rojas Balta, General Manager and co-owner of Santu Tour Operador

General Manager & Co-owner

Giuliana Rojas Balta

Travel has always been part of Giuliana’s life.

From an early age, she developed a curiosity for discovering new places, cultures and ways of traveling. That passion eventually became part of her work and, together with Dany, helped shape the Santu journey.

Today, Giuliana leads Santu’s general management and strategic direction, bringing together her background in Industrial Engineering, business management and tourism with many years of hands-on experience inside the company.

She is especially involved in shaping tailor-made journeys, developing the business and ensuring that Santu continues to grow without losing what makes it personal: attention to detail, local relationships and genuine care for the people who travel with us.

Commercial Manager & Co-owner

Dany Vásquez Salas

The mountains have been part of Dany’s life for more than two decades.

His connection with trekking, climbing and the Peruvian Andes began long before Santu became the company it is today. Over the years, he has explored mountain routes, worked alongside local guides and developed a deep understanding of the landscapes and communities of the Andes.

At Santu, Dany leads commercial development and client relationships while remaining closely connected to the field. He is also involved in exploring new routes, working with guides and helping shape the outdoor experiences that define the company.

For Dany, adventure is not simply a product to sell. It is a way of connecting people with Peru’s mountains, culture and nature.

Sustainability

We live here. That shapes how we travel.

For a local family business, responsible tourism is not a separate product. It comes from respecting the place we share: protecting the landscapes we work in and making sure tourism benefits the communities of the Cusco region.
