Zona X - Huchuyqosco in 2 Day

Itinerary:
Day 1: Zona X – Pukamarca (L, D)
At 6.00 a.m. we travel by car for 10 minutes to start our trekking until “X Zone” (near to Tambomachay). During this day we’ll walking around 4 hours a (rhythm middle) enjoying beautiful landscapes until K’eullococha Lagoon, where we will have our lunch. After we will continue walking for 3 hour until Pukamarca, where we’ll camp. Once in the camping we can relax and share looking the sunset while the dinner will be ready. |

Day 2: Pukamarca – Huchuyqosco (B)
By the morning after the breakfast, we continue whit our trip to Huchuyqosqo. After 2 hours of our descent by a section of Inca Trail that opens between a canyon of dense vegetation with a microclimate that correspond a riversides valley this land we take a Huchuyqosqo city, some authors called Tambo for this strategic location between two important towns and is the base of architectonics characters. After the visit of Huchuyqosqo we get down around 2 hours to Lamay City on the Inca Sacred Valley.
The return to Cusco City will be around 1 hour by car.

We recommended taking:
- Warm clothes, including jacket, fleeces. Thermal clothing is also recommended, especially for sleeping
- Rain gear (jacket and pants if available) or rain poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco)
- Strong footwear, waterproof trekking boots recommended
- Flashlight, camera
- Hat or cap to protect you from the sun, rain and cold
- Sun block, after-sun cream or hydrating cream for face and body
- Personal first-aid kit
- Snacks: biscuits, energy bars, chocolate, raw fruits, muesli, etc.
- Bottle with Water
- Cash in soles and/or US$ (no ATM machines in Cachora)
- Some document and if your are student your ISIC card
- Optional: walking sticks or poles
Notes:
- If you want to ride a horse during the entire long walk, you can rent it by USD 20 per day. You couldn’t ride in descent.
